Under the current circumstances with an outbreak of an epidemic, citizens are facing depression, sadness and desperation, which is a normal situation regarding the problems we are going through.
In order to feel free, alive and get back to the right track, Under the Mental Health TaskForce unit, LLWB in collaboration with Logotherapy MENA is initiating 4 webinars regarding mental health for its menbers and their family members.
The first webinar happened on Wednesday March 17 under the title of ” How to Undergo A Meaningful Fulfilled Life”.
The webinars are conducted by Daliya Zgheib, Founder of Logotherapy Mena, each webinar includes an informative part and an interactive part and the attendees will receive a certificate of participation accredited by LOGOTHERAPY MENA.
In fact, we all seek happiness in our life; we love to enjoy, have balance, we want security, like to accomplish, appreciate relationships…They are all beautiful and rightful for each person. BUT is this what life being all about? Are they the core of a meaningful life or an authentic fulfilment?
During the 1st webinar(target audience: above 30), Daliya Zgheib explores The Pursuit of Meaning vs. The Pursuit of Pleasure, Power and happiness, the Healthy Tension, the Existential Vacuum and the success/fulfilment diagram.
Furthermore, the goal from the sessions is to help people find meaning and purpose through LOGOTHERAPY.
Logo therapy is not exclusive to clinical practice but it is a path of being through meaning, it also teaches people that Despite the difficulties, and no matter what you’re facing, your life still matters and it also highlights on the importance of finding that meaning through helping others.
There are exercises or practicalities during each session, interactions from the attendees, sharing personal stories, discussion about what are the choices of actions they took in their lives and What has changed? Are they currently feeling an inner emptiness, to what reason it is related? And what is the first action that you can do towards it to transcend it?
Through the sessions you’ll get to recognize that what is needed is a meaningful balance, a challenging tension is necessary for you to become who you authentically are. And what people actually need is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of them.
Daliya advised the attendees of the 1st session(above 30) to always explore opportunities, take action, always be aware in order to take the right decision, and get out of the inner emptiness, she also suggested to volunteer because it helps in a way or another to move on.
So, always remember to take the challenge needed in order to get out of the situation that you are getting through and to become stronger, each person need a worthy goal to live their own meaning.
She also mentioned that sometimes we need to take a step back to know what we want, not what life imposed on us, and asked the attendees to seek what they want in order to move on and jump into another adventure, but in the same time to be careful not to jump in the water without putting or preparing a retro plan.
Always remember that meaning is the essence of being, your life is a pursuit of meaning not pleasure or power, happiness and success are by product of meaning fulfilment, a repressed will to meaning leads to an existential vacuum, success without fulfilment leads to despair and living a meaningful fulfilled life requires ACTION.
Life is not primarily a quest for pleasure or a quest for power but a quest for meaning, “Viktor Frankl”.
