Farah Matar is a corporate sustainability practitioner and researcher at the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative at the American University of Beirut (AUB). She is also the contact person for the UN Global Compact Network in Lebanon. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in CSR and a Bachelor of Business Administration both from AUB, and is a certified Social Return on Investment (SROI) practitioner, a certified Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 reporting professional, and a Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (ACSAP) by AccountAbility.
Farah is a specialist in the field of CSR and sustainability. She consults on various CSR- related projects for local and regional public and private firms, and leads CSR research projects in the region. She also serves as a lecturer and trainer, and has organized conferences and workshops pertaining to CSR, in addition to participating in regional and international CSR conferences.
Since 2013, Farah has been leading the Net Impact AUB Chapter, an international non-profit organization that encourages future business leaders to use their work for positive social and environmental change. Farah has achieved several awards in recognition for her leadership and academic merit.
