“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”. Benjamin Franklin. PUM, a new program from the Netherlands, for assisting SME’s has become available in Lebanon this summer. Accordingly, we have the pleasure to invite Mr Marwan Nasr, PUM Country Representative, to our next Join and Grow on Thursday 8 September 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at Berytech - Mathaf to give us an informative session about the program. About the Program: The Dutch Employers’ Association, in conjunction with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, run a program for assisting SME’s in the developing world, by sending them Dutch experts in their fields of operation, to assist them with developing their business, by working with them at their premises for 2 to 3 weeks per mission, with the possibility of up to 4 more follow up missions. The experts (numbering 3200) are volunteer (mostly retired) executives in all domains and practices, and will provide free consultancy to the beneficiary companies, to help improve their technical processes, their administrative procedures, their management techniques, or their financial policies. (The beneficiary company will only have to provide the visiting expert with board and lodging.) This aid program (known as PUM) has become available to Lebanon as of the first of July, 2016, and has been launched in coordination with the Netherlands Embassy in Beirut. More info is also available on www.pum.nl {more}
