A Call for Applications: E-Commerce Training Opportunity for SMEs

LLWB is currently offering a free of charge e-commerce training for woman-led SMEs in Beirut under the QEWA project in partnership with the UN Women.

The trainings can be either delivered in English or Arabic depending on the SMEs preference and language abilities.

The trainings will also be on the SME’s premises for a period of 5 days. Each day of 5 hours. The trainings will run from May till August 2022.

The purpose of the trainings is to strengthen the SMEs knowledge in e-commerce and online marketing and advertisement.

Criteria of the SME

•            Number of employees in the SME: 2-50 with at least 50% being women (priority to be given to those with more women employees)

•            SME is owned and headed by a woman

•            Sector of SME: All sectors

•            Location of SME: Beirut Blast Area

•            Have social media platforms that need enhancement or wish to have social media presence:

Indicators for those who already have online presence that needs improvements:

–             0-500 followers on social media platforms

–             Low engagement:  0- 20 messages from people per day

–             0-200 likes on posts

•            Didn’t receive similar technical support before

•            Registered

Criteria of the staff to be trained from the SME

•            None or very basic familiarity with e-commerce that can be developed/ improved

•            At least one person from the staff of the SME handles/ will be responsible to manage the platforms of the women led SME.
