LLWB held its annual General Assembly on Friday, January 28th at the Khalil Fattal & Fils Auditorium in Sin-El-Fil and virtually via Zoom, in the presence of its members, partners, donors and honourable guests; where we reviewed LLWB’s past year’s collective achievements and shared the roadmap ahead of us.
Mrs. Yusr Sabra, LLWB’s President, shared her 2021 recap message and highlighted on the 2022 strategy on meeting the challenges and lending a hand to the professionals in Lebanon willing to make a difference.
Afterwards, Dr. Najat Rochdi, the UN Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator in Lebanon and Mr. Rein Nieland, the head of Cooperation at the European Commission gave the opening speech.
A panel discussion titled “The Impact of Women Empowerment from the Donors Perspective,” was moderated by Mrs. Asmahan Zein, LLWB Advisor to the Board, with the below panellists.
- Liliane Abou Zeki, head of solutions Mapping at UNDP accelerator labs in Lebanon.
- Yara Nassar- Program Manager of the Women Economic Empowerment Program (WEE) at UN Women – Lebanon
- Corine Kiame – Investment Manager at Insure and Match Capital Holding SAL & Insure and Match Ventures Holding SAL (IM)
- Badri Meouchi – Corporate Governance Consultant at Tamayyaz
Finally, Ms. Nisreen Deeb, LLWB’s Executive Director presented the 2021 annual report.
