LLWB commits to providing skills development opportunities for its members while striving to meet their expectations and their needs. LLWB also commits to helping its members funding their businesses, through in kind assistance project and fostering entrepreneurship and overall economic development.
In its vision to support and guide the women-led businesses, start-ups, and employees, LLWB has created the Businesses and start-ups task forces unit. Its role is to support its members, in order to navigate the economic situation, the challenges and needs faced during the current situation and finding ways to address them.
LLWB commits to the development of the community, by working with individuals on the field, towards promoting gender equality and towards driving change in this direction
On March 12, 2016, Five ICT Associations (LLWB/WIC/WIT/WIE/DOT) collaborated and organised together the “Girls Got IT” event, bringing 400 students from public and private schools (10thgrade) for a full day of technology-related hands-on activities. Girls Broke stereotypes and were involved first hand in IT and Tech!
The purpose of girls’ day is to provide female students with hands-on experience working in the STEM fields. The main work LLWB conducted is also advocating for a change of mind and culture regarding IT, STEM and Tech and girls involvement in them.
