In my dual roles as Director of HR & Brand Quality at Staybridge Suites by IHG and Lecturer at AUB, I’ve actively implemented inclusive leadership practices. I’ve referred high-potential women to global mentorship programs, influenced more balanced hiring panels, and challenged bias in talent assessments, resulting in nore inclusive outcomes on the ground. In classroom, I’ve reshaped discussions around leadership by integrating EI and equity-focused strategies, paricularly for women on executive career tracks. These efforts have helped shift both organizational culture and student mindset from performative DEI to measurable progress. karim.khatib84@gmail.com Karim El Khatib
As part of the advocacy efforts led by the The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering to end child marriage in Lebanon within the “Not Before 18” campaign, a consultative meeting was held with the National Coalition to Protect Children from Early Marriage in RDFL Beirut Center. The meeting addressed the legal framework and ongoing violations, including child marriages conducted outside official courts, emphasizing the need for awareness-raising in schools and health centers. Discussions also focused on involving parents, MPs, and youth in advocacy efforts, as well as reviewing personal status laws to close legal loopholes. Joint proposals for action were identified to strengthen collective efforts toward passing a law that protects children from early marriage and guarantees a safe childhood.

Nîm, a micro social enterprise and women’s wear label, recently launched Hope Blossom, a special social capsule collection co-designed with three incredible cancer survivors. Each piece in the collection tells a personal story of strength and growth, transforming fashion into a platform for solidarity and a force for good. All proceeds are going to support the Cancervive association in providing wigs, psychosocial care, and treatment-related assistance to underprivileged women navigating their cancer journey.
Through Hope Blossom, we’re celebrating resilience, togetherness, and simply want to remind women they’re never alone on their journey.
