  • The objectives of the event were to give three different groups of lawyers a workshop about communication and public speaking to enhance their capacity with their clients, colleagues, and judges.

  • The training was divided into three sessions, the first session covered the basic rules of communication and the speaking impact and it began with the game of phrase ball, the second session covered the mastering of impromptu speaking (analyses separation, movement), clarity and conciseness, navigating difficult conversations (bridging), the power of storytelling ( the rule of three), the third session covered dealing with the stage fright, speaking with confidence (planning, audience, writing introduction and delivering it), and audience involvement techniques.

  • The training was interactive, with a lot of groupwork.

  •  First group: (September 3) a group of 15 lawyers, in addition to one participant from BLC. There were experienced lawyers and young trainee in law.

  • 9 of which had their own private practice, and the other 6 worked in a law firm.

  • Second group: (September 4) a group of 15 lawyers, in addition to one participant from BLC. There were experienced lawyers and young trainees in law.

  • 2 of them had their own private practice, and the other 13 worked in a law firm.

  • Third group: (September 5)  a group of 17 lawyers, no one from BLC. A combination of experienced lawyers and young trainees in law.

  • 9 of them had their own private practice, and the other 8 work in a law firm.

  • Attendees were homogeneous when the profession was considered, but very heterogeneous considering age, experience, culture, politics, and others.

  • Partners include: Institute of Human Rights at the Syndicate of Lawyers, they ensured participants and the local, and BLC was present in the first and second day.
