Hasmig is a sustainability and ESG professional with 30 years of experience with exposure to multiple industries and sectors. She currently works under her brand, PrincipLed, as a Sustainability Consultant. Recognized as a regional pioneer in social responsibility, she has supported collaboration between the private and public sectors, mentored Lebanese institutions, and spoken at regional CSR conferences and workshops in partnership with academia, the ILO, and UN-related bodies. Her work spans corporate governance, economic and community development, human development, and environmental protection. Hasmig recently served as an appointed member of Lebanon’s Economic, Social and Environmental Council particularly on its Environment Committee. In this role, she contributed to initiatives including the National Poverty Targeting Program and environmentally responsible investment discussions with relevant ministries. Her expertise includes DEI, women’s empowerment principles, ethical labor practices, human rights, anti-corruption, ISO 26000, the UN Global Compact, the Sustainable Development Goals, carbon footprint measurement, recycling, and GRI Standards reporting. She is a McGill University graduate in Political Sciences, Public Administration, and Relations, and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and ESA/IFG. She is a founding board member of UN Global Compact Network Lebanon and currently serves a new mandate as Chair to the Program Committee. She has been recognized for leadership in social mainstreaming and climate action. Fluent in four languages, she is also a published author, a proud mother of three, and active in community service.
