ريتا الشمالي، خبيرة في النوع الاجتماعي والحوكمة واستاذة محاضرة في العلوم السياسية والادارية والمساواة بين الجنسين
حائزة على ديبلوم دراسة عليا معمقّة في العلوم الادارية والسياسية من معهد العلوم السياسية التابع لكلية الحقوق والعلوم السياسية في جامعة القديس يوسف. نالت على جائزة سمير قصير لحرية الصحافة عن فئة الباحثين/ات. نشرت الشمالي بحثا حول الحركات الاجتماعية والسياسية حول التمييز وحقوق النساء في لبنان كما وتدون حول مواضيع حقوق الانسان، النظم الديمقراطية والنوع الاجتماعي. عملت مع العديد من منظمات المجتمع المدني على مواضيع المساواة وحقوق الانسان والنساء كما والمواطنة والحوكمة الرشيدة ودولة القانون. عملت كمستشارة تنمية المشاريع في الهيئة الوطنية لشؤون المرأة اللبنانية لاكثر من عشرة اعوام. معتمدة كميسرة ومدققة للنوع الاجتماعي من قبل منظمة العمل الدولية. تعمل كخبيرة في ادماج النوع الاجتماعي والمناصرة مع عدة منظمات محلية ودولية. استاذة محاضرة في العلوم السياسية والادارية والسوسيولوجيا والمواطنة والسياسات العامة والمناصرة وادوات التواصل الاجتماعي والعنف ضد المراة، وادارة الحملات في معهد العلوم السياسية والمعهد الاسلامي المسيحي كما في الماستر العربي لحقوق الانسان والديمقراطية التابع للغلوبال كامبس.
Rita Chemaly, Senior Consultant, Researcher and political analyst.
Rita Chemaly has joined the Lebanese League for Women in Business- LLWB as an executive director in May 2024.
She is a consultant, with more than 16 years of professional experience in program management, lobbying and research for National Machineries, Public Institutions, NGOs, Academia, UN/INGOs and international and regional coalitions. Chemaly has a specific experience of formulating public policies and plans. Chemaly has supported the development of laws amendments by the Lebanese parliament and national strategies and plans conceptualization and implementation in a participatory approach since 2011 from a gender and social inclusion perspective while working at the National Commission for Lebanese Women. As a researcher she has several publications on elections, human rights, women and gender and has drafted several reports on Human rights status in Lebanon to special rapporteurs and UN commissions. Chemaly was the recipient of the Samir Kassir Award for the Freedom of the Press category of researchers delivered by the European Union. And have publications on social and political mobilization. She holds a DEA degree in administrative and political sciences from Saint Joseph University. She also has more than 11 years of university teaching experience. Chemaly university courses are related to political science, advocacy, social media, public policies, gender, citizenship and political sociology. Chemaly is certified by ILO as a gender auditor and has led and collaborated to participatory gender audits in public and private sector in Arabic, English and French. She is also a senior consultant for Gender and Social inclusion for several entities. She has trained in various ILO academies public officials, unions from various countries on gender mainstreaming and how to identify biases and manage resistances. Committed to the cause of the state of law, she blogs and tweets on the causes she believes in, mainly inclusive societies based on human rights.
