Abir Chebaro is a gender equality and women’s economic empowerment senior expert with over two decades of experience leading policy, advocacy, and institutional development initiatives in Lebanon and the region. She has served as Advisor to the Prime Minister on Women’s Affairs, Vice President of the National Commission for Lebanese Women, and Advisor to the Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, where she contributed to advancing key reforms and national strategies promoting women’s leadership and economic participation. Abir is known for building partnerships, mobilizing resources, and turning ideas into impactful initiatives. Her work spans government, international organizations, academia, civil society, and the private sector, with a particular focus on women’s leadership, economic empowerment, and inclusive governance. A member of LLWB since 2019, Abir currently serves as Vice President, leading the Advocacy and Women on Boards pillar. During her tenure, she has helped expand LLWB’s reach and partnerships while contributing to the growth of its flagship Women on Boards initiative. She is committed to leveraging her experience, network, and passion for change to further strengthen LLWB’s impact and value to its members.
